When I first bought my domain name in 2005, this is what the homepage looked like. I was spending my days going to auditions and figured it would be really forward-thinking to have a dance website to accompany my dance resume (which very few dancers were doing at the time).
Like my current site, I hacked the code and hosting and everything together myself. I even took the self-portrait using the timer function on my digital camera while I danced around my first NYC apartment. Since then, this photo has become one of my favorite representations of what dance has been to me — an entirely self-made, personal pursuit.
(Sometime after those dance site iterations, I decided to wipe the slate clean and put notes on my digital industry life here. Funny how time transforms things.)
