I have been experiencing pangs of analog nostalgia recently…

A pdf, unlike a book, doesn’t change everytime you open it up. It doesn’t become dog-eared; it doesn’t automatically open up to your favorite passage because you’ve read it so many times there’s a crease in the spine; it doesn’t have the coffee stains from that time you were reading it at the cafe, waiting nervously.

Screens, quietly luminescent, are not enough for tactile creatures.
