At dinner tonight, Lauren asked me how I liked my iPhone and whether it was worth getting.  I replied with unthinking grandiosity that it had CHANGED MY LIFE.

Why?  Because it’s integral to every waking and sleeping hour of my day.  I’m constantly wrapping my hand around its sleek form factor and swiping away at it to catch up with and facilitate my life — numerous email accounts, alarm clocks, texting, mapping, photos, Googling, and all the other geeking out that I do at home in front of my laptop but in a portable package that goes everywhere a laptop cannot go.  It’s my mobile nerve center — my electronic brain and heart.

And from a less emotional standpoint, the iPhone is the first mobile device that has actually expanded electronic communication rather than just delivered a stunted version of it.  Just when you thought the Internet couldn’t get any better… it did.
